illPod.com LTD aims to become ISO 9001 the near future and our Mac engineers are currently undergoing Apple Certification to the highest appropriate level. We feel that this along with our E-Waste orientated mantra, aim to provide quality, affordability & excellent customer service puts us furlongs ahead of the competition.

How we began

illPod.com LTD began in September 2006 when Director & Head Engineer  James set up illPod.co.uk as a sole trader. At that point, there was only one other company in the UK providing iPod repairs. The only music revolution lead to high demand for devices like the iPod. In turn a market for repair of these devices was created. 

 

With over 12.5M iPhones sold in uk, 350M iPod's sold worldwide, 84M iPad's sold worldwide and many easily damaged there is a clear market for repair of these devices (figures date from spring 2013). 

 

Timeline

o   When we started James Pink (founder & director) was still at university and it was a very much part time bedroom based micro business.
o   In September 2009 James took up illPod full time, Launching a new website in spring 2010 and moving into new offices shortly after.
o   In Spring 2011 More changes were afoot, with illPod becoming a limited company and the opening of our first service desk with it’s own shop front.
o   In Spring 2012, we took on 2 full time budding apprentices; In June 2012 one of our apprentices Curtis Marriott became a full time employee of illPod.com LTD.  &nbsp &nbspHe is now our Repair Manager. We also relauched a  redesigned version of illPod.com in June 2012
o   In Spring 2013 we started to sell parts, tools, accessories & unlocking
o   In November 2013 Kieran Hutchinson Walmsley Joined the team, responsible for admin &  mac repairs.
